Norbu Indian Cuisine in Cooperstown NY

We ordered the chicken biryani and chicken korma at Norbu. Both were flavorful and well balanced. Not especially spicy, which most guests will likely appreciate, though we would have enjoyed a bit more heat.

Chicken biryani is how Samantha tends to judge an Indian restaurant. She spent several months in South India with a local host family and learned how to make it there. That experience still shapes how she cooks and layers spices today, and it remains one of her favorite dishes, along with idli sambar and Mysore dosa.

We’ve eaten here a number of times. It quickly became our go-to when we were spending time in Cooperstown before taking over the bed and breakfast.
